Our catered trip includes all the necessary kayaking gear, dry bags for personal gear, kitchen supplies, food and a lovely kayak guide to cook delicious meals throughout the trip.

In order to keep the trip cost down we ask that you pack your own camping gear (tent, sleeping bag, sleeping pad, etc) but we realize not everyone has their own. If you need to rent equipment from Moondance please contact us about rental availability.

All meals are prepared and provided by Moondance.

Our Orcas Island 5 Day Adventure is geared towards intermediate- advanced kayakers who are looking to spend long days on the water and get a full taste of all the San Juan Islands have to offer.

Every day averages around 10 miles of paddling, hopping between islands, stopping for lunches on remote beaches, and using the tides and currents to push our boats along. Along the way, we’ll glide past sea lion haul-outs, navigate wildlife reserves, and explore vibrant intertidal zones teeming with sea stars and invertebrates revealed by the low tides. Evening’s will be spent sharing delicious meals prepared by your guides while taking in the last of the sun setting over the islands.

While this trip is sure to leave your arms tired, it’s also guaranteed to leave the heart full with a deep love for the Salish Sea.
